The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has rolled out a major upgrade to the official Income Tax mobile application, making it more functional and accessible for corporate users. This latest version introduces several new features tailored specifically for companies, including dashboard views of filing status, TDS payments, refund tracking, compliance alerts, and access to important statutory forms such as ITR-6 and audit reports. The aim is to support company representatives, directors, and tax professionals with on-the-go monitoring and real-time updates.

A key enhancement is the ability to view and validate PAN-linked compliance activities, such as due dates for tax returns, audit filings, and TDS return submissions. The app also allows digital signature management, OTP-based login for Aadhaar-linked directors, and quick access to tax circulars and updates issued by the CBDT. Additionally, corporate users can receive personalized notifications for pending filings, error alerts, and refund status changes, helping ensure timely action and avoiding system-generated notices or penalties.

To use the app for company-related functions, authorized signatories must be registered on the e-filing portal and link their roles via PAN, DSC, and DIN credentials. The app supports integration with the web-based platform for seamless switching between mobile and desktop environments. With this upgrade, the government is advancing its digital tax ecosystem, making compliance more accessible, efficient, and responsive for India’s growing base of corporate taxpayers.
