Hello Auditor

Online PAN-Aadhaar Linking Services Temporarily Suspended

The Income Tax Department has temporarily suspended the online services for PAN-Aadhaar linking, citing essential technical upgrades and backend system enhancements. This move comes as part of a broader initiative to improve the reliability, speed, and user experience of the PAN-Aadhaar integration platform. During this maintenance period, taxpayers will not be able to access the online facility for submitting their linking requests through the official e-filing portal.

According to officials, the suspension is temporary and scheduled, with services expected to resume in the coming days. The department has urged users to remain patient and has assured that no penalties or compliance issues will arise during this downtime. Additionally, alternative options such as offline linking through PAN service centers will remain operational, ensuring that citizens who need immediate assistance can still proceed with the process without disruption.

Taxpayers are advised to monitor official announcements for updates on the restoration of services. Once the system is back online, users can resume linking their Permanent Account Number (PAN) with Aadhaar using their login credentials. The Income Tax Department has also reiterated that the final deadline for PAN-Aadhaar linking remains unchanged, and the current suspension will not impact the overall compliance timeline.
