Step 1: Obtain Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)
• All designated partners must obtain a DSC from a certifying authority
• DSC is used to sign and file e-forms on the MCA portal
• Required for verification and authentication of online submissions
• Class 3 DSC is commonly used for MCA filings
• Keep scanned ID and address proof ready for DSC application
Step 2: Apply for Director Identification Number (DIN)
• File Form DIR-3 for DIN allotment through MCA portal
• Provide partner details like name, PAN, and address
• Attach ID proof, address proof, and photo with the form
• Verify digitally using DSC of a practicing professional if required
• DIN is mandatory for individuals to be designated partners
Step 3: Name Reservation through RUN-LLP
• Use the “RUN-LLP” (Reserve Unique Name) service on MCA portal
• Propose one or two unique names relevant to the business
• MCA checks for name availability and trademark conflict
• Approved name is reserved for 3 months for LLP registration
• Attach relevant documents if required during submission
Step 4: File Incorporation Form FiLLiP
• FiLLiP (Form for incorporation of LLP) is submitted online
• Enter partner details, registered office, and capital contribution
• Upload proof of address, NOC from property owner, and ID documents
• PAN and TAN can be applied within FiLLiP form itself
• Pay government fees based on contribution slab through MCA portal
Step 5: Execute and File LLP Agreement
• Partners must execute the LLP agreement within 30 days of incorporation
• Agreement defines roles, duties, and profit/loss sharing
• Stamp duty must be paid as per state laws before execution
• File the agreement in Form 3 on MCA portal with DSC
• Only after this step is LLP registration fully complete and active
