How to Reissue or Reprint PAN Card in India
If your PAN card is lost, damaged, or you simply need a fresh copy, you can request a reprint or reissue without changing any details. The process can be done online through NSDL (now Protean) or UTIITSL portals, and the reissued card will bear the same PAN number.
• When to Apply for PAN Reprint
• If your PAN card is physically damaged, torn, or illegible.
• If you have lost or misplaced your PAN card.
• If you want an additional or duplicate copy for convenience.
• If your PAN details are correct, and no update or correction is required.
• Steps to Reprint via NSDL (Protean) Portal
• Visit and go to the “Reprint PAN Card” section.
• Select the option for Reprint of PAN Card (No Changes in Existing PAN Data).
• Enter your PAN, Aadhaar number (if linked), and date of birth.
• Complete the OTP verification and pay the nominal reprint fee.
• Steps to Reprint via UTIITSL Portal
• Visit https://www.pan.utiitsl.com and click on “Reprint PAN Card” under Services.
• Enter your PAN number, date of birth, and captcha code to proceed.
• Choose the delivery mode (physical card, e-PAN, or both) and confirm your address.
• Pay the applicable fee and track the delivery status through the acknowledgment number.
• Required Information for Reprint
• Your existing 10-digit PAN number (no new PAN will be issued).
• Date of birth or incorporation (for entities or companies).
• Aadhaar number and mobile/email linked to PAN (for OTP verification).
• Delivery address for physical PAN card dispatch (should match Aadhaar if e-KYC is used).
• Important Notes and Timelines
• The reprint request does not allow changes in name, DOB, or other PAN details.
• If you need corrections, submit a separate ‘Change Request’ form instead.
• The reissued PAN card is typically delivered within 7 to 15 working days.
