Reissuance Is Required
- Contact information, such as a mobile number or email, cannot be edited in an existing DSC.
- To update contact details, a new DSC must be applied for with the correct information.
- This is because certificate details are digitally signed and cannot be altered post-issuance.
Submit Fresh Application with Updated Information
- You must fill out a new DSC application for me, including the revised contact details.
- Provide necessary identity and address proof along with the updated mobile number or email.
- Verification will be done again as per the certifying authority’s process.
Revoke the Old Certificate
- After the new DSC is issued, the previous certificate should be revoked.
- This ensures that outdated or incorrect contact details are not linked to an active DSC.
- Revocation helps maintain security and compliance.
Verification of Updated Details
- The updated contact information is validated before the new DSC is issued.
- Video or OTP-based verification may be conducted as part of the process.
- Only after successful verification will the DSC be activated with new contact data.
Maintain Consistency Across Platforms
- Once reissued, the new DSC should be registered again on the relevant government portals.
- Ensure the same contact details are updated in portal user profiles for smooth integration.
- Keep the token or certificate file safe and updated in all required systems.
