Hello Auditor

How to verify DSC in GST portal?

Log in and Access the Profile Section

  • Log in to the GST portal using your authorized credentials.
  • Navigate to the dashboard and open the “Profile” or “My Profile” section.
  • This section allows you to manage and verify your Digital Signature Certificate (DSC).

Install the Required Utility

  • Ensure that the required utility for DSC use is installed on your system.
  • This utility enables secure communication between the portal and your DSC token.
  • Make sure the token is plugged in and the software is running properly.

Register or Update the DSC

  • Click on the option to register or update DSC within the profile.
  • A list of authorized signatories will appear for selection.
  • Select the appropriate authorized signatory whose DSC needs to be verified.

Select the Certificate from the Token

  • A pop-up will display available DSCs stored in your token.
  • Choose the correct certificate associated with the authorized signatory.
  • Ensure the certificate details, such as name and PAN, match the GST profile.

Authenticate and Verify

  • Enter the token PIN when prompted to authenticate the certificate.
  • After successful verification, a confirmation message will appear.
  • This indicates that the DSC is now verified and linked to the GST account.

Use the Verified DSC for Filings

  • Once verified, the DSC can be used to sign returns, forms, and applications.
  • It remains active for use unless revoked or updated.
  • Always keep the token safe and do not share access credentials.
