Filing Fees
- The standard filing fee for individuals and natural persons is ₹1,000.
- Small entities and startups are required to pay ₹2,000 as the filing fee.

- Fees are payable at the time of submitting Form-1 for registration.

Renewal Fees
- The fee for renewing a design for an additional five years is ₹2,000 for individuals.
- Small entities and startups must pay ₹4,000 for renewal.
- Other applicants are required to pay ₹8,000 for renewal.
- The renewal must be requested before the expiry of the initial term.
- No late fee option is available after the lapse of the initial registration.
Other Applicable Fees
- ₹500 is charged for inspecting the registered design.
- ₹1,000 is payable for issuing a certified copy of the design certificate.
- ₹2,000 is required for restoring a lapsed design if eligible.
- Fees vary for entries of assignments or transmissions of rights.
- Separate charges apply for correcting clerical errors in the register.
Mode of Payment
- Fees can be paid via demand draft, banker’s cheque, or online portal.
- Payments must be made in Indian Rupees and drawn in favor of the Controller.
- Online applications require payment through the IP India e-filing system.
- Receipts must be retained as proof of successful fee submission.
- Incorrect or partial payment may lead to application rejection.
