Audit Trail Feature Introduced for Section 8 Applications

This new functionality is designed to track every modification, submission, and approval stage in the application process, ensuring a tamper-proof and verifiable history of activities associated with the registration of non-profit entities.

Effective immediately, the audit trail system will automatically log all changes made to key documents, including the Memorandum of Association (MOA), Articles of Association (AOA), declarations, and digital signatures. This includes timestamps, user identities, and descriptions of edits or uploads, all accessible through the MCA portal by authorized stakeholders and reviewing authorities.

The initiative aims to address growing concerns around document manipulation, unauthorized amendments, and post-submission discrepancies in the Section 8 incorporation process. By capturing every step of the digital filing journey, the system provides regulators with a clear, chronological record of actions, reducing the risk of fraud or procedural irregularities.

Officials from the MCA stated that the audit trail will also aid in faster application processing, as reviewing officers can immediately verify whether filings are authentic and consistent.
