  • Incorrect calculation of employer or employee contribution.
  • Addition of employees omitted during the initial submission.
  • Revision due to updated salary components or attendance.
  • Rectification of data following internal payroll reconciliation.

Accessing the Portal for Correction

  • Log in to the ESIC employer portal using your credentials.
  • Go to the contribution history or filed return section.
  • Identify the contribution period where correction is needed.
  • Select the option to revise or edit contribution details.
  • Ensure only authorized users perform the revision process.

Making the Required Edits

  • Update wage figures for affected employees.
  • Add or remove employees if initially missed or wrongly reported.
  • Adjust both employer and employee shares accordingly.
  • Cross-check totals before proceeding with the update.
  • Save the revised information before generating a new challan.

Generating Revised Challan and Payment

  • After editing, generate a fresh challan for the revised amount.
  • The system will display any additional contribution due.
  • Make the online payment using net banking or available options.
  • Save the updated payment receipt and challan number.
  • Ensure revised entries reflect in the contribution ledger.

Post-Revision Compliance

  • Submit the revised return after successful payment.
  • Keep copies of both original and revised returns for audit.

  • Avoid frequent revisions by reviewing payroll before submission.
  • Contact the ESIC regional office if the online correction window is closed.
