MCA Extends Filing Deadline for LLPs Due to Technical Glitches

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has officially extended the filing deadline for Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) in response to persistent technical issues encountered on the MCA V3 portal. The extension, announced in a recent circular, provides LLPs with additional time to complete statutory filings such as Form 11 (Annual Return) and Form 8 (Statement of Account & Solvency) without incurring late fees or penalties. This move comes after stakeholders across India reported login failures, delayed acknowledgments, and submission errors that disrupted the normal filing process.

According to the revised schedule, LLPs now have until June 30, 2025, to complete all pending e-filings, including those that were originally due between April and May. The MCA emphasized that the extension applies only to compliance forms affected by system-level malfunctions and not to voluntary filings. The ministry also assured users that technical teams are actively working to resolve portal performance issues, including server outages, signature mismatches, and auto-population errors in the FiLLiP and Form 3 modules. These efforts aim to restore full functionality and avoid disruption in future compliance windows.

In its notification, the MCA reiterated its commitment to ensuring a user-friendly and stable digital platform for businesses. Stakeholders are encouraged to utilize the extended period to validate digital signature certificates (DSCs), gather necessary documents, and make error-free submissions. This extension is expected to benefit thousands of LLPs, especially small and mid-sized firms, that rely on timely filings to maintain good legal standing and avoid disqualification of designated partners. Industry professionals have welcomed the relief as a much-needed response to systemic challenges.
