In a move aimed at enhancing transparency and user experience, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has introduced a new real-time dashboard on the MCA21 portal to help applicants monitor the progress of company incorporation. Effective from May 22, 2025, this dashboard enables users, particularly those incorporating private limited companies, to track the status of their SPICe+ forms, DIN allocation, name approvals, and PAN/TAN generation through a centralized and visual interface.
The dashboard is equipped with live status indicators, color-coded progress bars, and automatic alerts for pending actions, such as uploading supporting documents or resubmission in case of errors. It also features integration with email and SMS notifications, enabling promoters and professional advisors to stay updated on real-time developments. According to the MCA, this feature significantly reduces dependency on manual inquiries and speeds up the turnaround time for company incorporation, especially for startups and small enterprises seeking quick registration.
Stakeholders have praised the update as a long-overdue digital upgrade that aligns with the government’s broader Ease of Doing Business initiative. Company secretaries and chartered accountants expect that the dashboard will minimize filing errors, avoid delays, and improve regulatory compliance by providing timely visibility into application stages. The MCA has assured that more dashboard features, including historical filing analytics and issue resolution tracking, will be rolled out in upcoming updates to further streamline the corporate registration journey.
