Fee for TAN Correction
Standard Correction Fee
- The prescribed fee for submitting a TAN correction request is ₹65
- This includes ₹55 as application charge and ₹10 as Goods and Services Tax (GST)
- The fee is uniform across all modes of submission, whether online or offline
- It is a non-refundable fee, applicable per correction request submitted
Mode of Payment
- For online applications, payment can be made using debit card, credit card, or net banking
- For offline submissions at TIN Facilitation Centers, payment can be made in cash, by demand draft, or cheque, subject to the center’s accepted modes
- The demand draft must be drawn in favor of the authorized service provider (Protean eGov Technologies Limited)
When Fee is Required
- Applicable when correcting any details like name, address, contact information, or deductor category
- Also required when updating records for changes due to business restructuring or migration
- Payable even if only minor corrections are being made
Acknowledgment of Payment
- An acknowledgment receipt is generated after payment is made
- Serves as proof of application submission and fee payment
- Required for tracking correction status and for future reference
No Additional Charges for Processing
- ₹65 is the total cost for each correction request
- No additional government taxes or hidden charges apply beyond this fee
- Multiple corrections can be submitted in one application, covered under the same fee
