- Ensure that all filings and payments are completed up to the current date before proceeding.
- Some portals may require multi-factor authentication for secure access.
Navigate to the Clearance Certificate Section
- After login, go to the menu labeled “Certificate Services,” “Downloads,” “Taxpayer Services,” or “PT Clearance” depending on the portal structure.
- Click on the link for “Apply for Clearance Certificate” or “Request for PT Clearance”.
- Select the appropriate registration type: PTRC for employers, PTEC for self-employed individuals.
- Ensure that all returns are filed and dues are cleared, as the system verifies compliance history.
Submit the Application Request
- Fill in the necessary details such as registration number, PAN, period of clearance required, and business address.
- Upload any supporting documents if required, such as proof of payment or last return filed.
- Confirm the declaration that no dues or liabilities are pending for the specified period.
- Submit the application; a reference number or acknowledgment receipt will be generated.
System Verification and Approval
- The system will automatically check:
- Return filing status
- Payment reconciliation
- Any pending dues, penalties, or notices
- Return filing status
- If discrepancies exist, the request may be rejected or kept pending until resolved.
- In some states, a manual officer review may be initiated before certificate issuance.
Download the Clearance Certificate
- Once approved, go to the “Certificate Issuance” or “Document Downloads” section.
- The PT Clearance Certificate can be downloaded in PDF format, bearing official seal, date, and reference number.
- The certificate serves as proof that the taxpayer has no dues pending and is compliant.
- This document is often required for government tenders, license renewals, or business transactions.
